Arrival Information
Parking Information
Waters Edge contains a 4 level parking garage that is attached to the complex. 2 parking passes will be provided to each guest. The parking passes will be located in or near this welcome binder in the condo. Please display the parking passes in your vehicle as the parking garage is monitored for security. I recommend parking in the 3rd (covered level) or 4th level (uncovered) of the parking garage to be closest to the unit. If you only need 1 parking pass, please leave the other one in this binder for future guests to use.
Luggage Carts
The complex has luggage carts available to help with your move in/move out. The luggage carts are usually stored on the 1st level in the parking garage, but sometimes you may find one on the 3rd or 4th level.
Elevators
The complex has 2 elevators, one towards each end of the building. Our unit, 603, is in the west corner of the building, so I recommend taking the west-end elevator. The parking garage ramp is on the west end of the building. Unit 603 is the top floor corner unit.
Front Door Lock
The condo has a keyless front door lock. You will be issued an access code to enter the unit. Your access code will be active upon check-in (3pm the day of arrival) and it will be disabled upon checkout (10am day of departure). You will not have a key. To lock/unlock the door handle, simply press the appropriate button on the inside of the lock. Red means locked, green means unlocked. Please make sure the front door is locked at all times. You can also lock the deadbolt on the door from inside the unit for extra security.

Condo Rules and Guidelines
> This is a NON SMOKING unit.
> PETS are NOT PERMITTED in the condo.
> A maximum of 8 persons may stay in the condo
> No early check-in or late checkout. Check-in is at 3pm while checkout is 10am. These are firm times in order to allow us to clean the unit in time for our guests.
Your Security Deposit
After your departure, the condo will be inspected and an inventory of all items will be taken. Your security deposit will be returned in full if the following provisions are met:
> No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
> No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay.
> All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in trash chutes or dumpster, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and the dishwasher is run.
> No linens are lost or damaged.
> The condo is locked upon departure.

Internet Access / WiFi
The condo is furnished with high-speed cable modem internet access. I have set up wifi access for guests. You can access the wifi network using the following login information

Cable Televisions / DVDs
Each bedroom and the living room is equipped with a flat screen television and a dvd player. The bunkroom has a DVD/TV combo. The remote controls are very easy to use and self-explanatory. A TV Channel Guide is located in this packet.
Telephone
The unit has 2 landline telephones, one in the kitchen and a cordless in the master bedroom. No long distance or collect calls. The phone number is 850-244-2860.
Stereo
The living room has a Sony Stereo system that has its own remote control.
Stackable Washer and Dryer
A stackable washer and dryer is located in the kitchen. Please use these at your convenience. The dryer lint trap is located inside the dryer in the back of the drum. Please empty this if you use the dryer.
Dishwasher
Upon checking out of the unit please place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and run the cycle.
Refrigerator
The fridge comes with a water dispenser and icemaker. If we have a gap in bookings, we may turn the icemaker offer while vacant but will turn it on for your arrival.
Oven/Stove/Microwave
These are all new appliances and in great working condition. Make yourself at home.
Small Appliances
There are several small appliances for your convenience. These include a coffee maker, toaster, blender, mixer (in the kitchen).
Kitchen Utensils, Dinnerware and Cookware
The condo is stocked with dishes, cookware and utensils for your use.
Other Items:
- Iron and ironing board are located in master closet.
- Luggage racks are located in master closet and 2nd bedroom closet.
- Hair dryer is located in master bathroom.
- Vacuum is located in hallway closet.
- First aid kit, flashlight, scissors, phonebooks are located in pantry
- Broom, dustpan and sponge mop are located in kitchen closet with trashcan
- A fan is located in bunkroom closet
- Extra Pillows and Blankets are located in the bedroom closets

The fitness room is located on the 2nd floor above the complex lobby in the middle of the complex between the parking garage and the condos. Use access code 253 to enter the fitness room. The fitness room contains a treadmill, fitness bike, universal machine and an elliptical machine as well as a television.
Beach Service
As a guest of condo 603, you are entitled to complimentary beach service. This service includes two chairs and a beach umbrella (please note if you want more chairs and umbrellas you must pay for them). Beach service is available from 8-5 from March 1st thru October 31st and 9-6 during peak season (Memorial Day to Labor Day). You must tell the beach attendant you are staying in unit 603 (for Schulze). Jared or Mike are the beach attendants and will set up the chairs and umbrella for you. It is ok to bring your own chairs, tents, etc. as well. The beach attendants form rows of umbrellas lining the property line depending on how busy the complex is. So if you want a front row spot, you may want to look out from the balcony to see how many spots are filled and go down to the beach to secure your spot! Jared or Mike can also rent you a kayak if you feel adventurous.
Pool
The resort contains a 5000 square foot pool that is divided into 2 separate pools, one that is heated. The pool is lined with about 50-60 chairs for guests. The pool does not have a lifeguard on duty but it is very well maintained. There are showers located on the beach walkover to wash your feet and beach toys off as needed. There is also one located in the pool area.
Outside Bathrooms
There are multiple bathrooms located by the walkways of the complex near the pool. The bathrooms also have water fountains near them. A soda machine is also located by one of the outside bathrooms.
BBQ Grill Area
Next to the pool and below unit 603 on the West end of the property there is a BBQ area that has 2 charcoal bbq grills that guests can use.
Soda Machines / Snack Machines / Game Room
The complex has a very small lobby area that contains some games, a soda machine and a snack machine. In addition there are various local information packets available that contain all kinds of tourist information ranging from Water sports to restaurants available in the area

The balcony doors are very heavy. They are 10 feet tall and are hurricane-reinforced. The locks are sometimes a little “tricky” to figure out and can be a bit difficult to open. To unlock or lock, make sure the doors are closed completely (shut them as hard as you can). The locks simply turn to lock or unlock the doors. When first used, it may seem like the locks do not “work”. However, they do work properly but just might take a little getting used to in order to lock/unlock by closing all the way and turning the knobs correctly.
Trash Chutes
A trash chute is located just down the hall from unit 602. For larger trash items, dumpsters are located on each end of the complex, below each trash chute on the 1st level.

September thru May, the OCT runs 8am to 7pm, Monday-Friday, arriving every 45 minutes (every 20 minutes Memorial Day thru Labor Day). Regular fare is $1. Seniors and disabled ride for 25¢. The shuttle does stop at various spots on Okaloosa Island. For more information call 850-833-9168 or visit www.rideoct.org.
Post Office Drop Box
There is a post office drop box located on the 1st floor of the Waters Edge complex behind the lobby.
Grocery Stores near Waters Edge
A Tom Thumb convenience store is located just a short walk West of the resort on Santa Rosa BLVD. A Publix is located about 1.5 miles from Waters Edge. Head east on Santa Rosa Blvd toward Dorado Ave. Turn left at FL-30 W/Miracle Strip Pkwy SE/US-98 W. Publix will be on the right.
Gas Station
A Tom Thumb gas station sits right on the turn onto Santa Rosa Blvd.
Restaurants on Okaloosa Island
There are several restaurants within 1-2 miles of Waters Edge. These include FudPucker’s, Old Bay Steamer, Angler’s, The Crab Trap and more.
Of course the Destin-area offers a huge selection of restaurants, water sports, shopping opportunities, golfing and more. The lobby of Waters Edge has several pamphlets of information. One I recommend is the Life’s a Beach brochure. It has a well-organized directory of the many things to do in the area

- Make sure the balcony doors are locked
- Make sure all lights and electronics are turned off.
- Turn the thermostat to 75 in the summer and 65 in the winter.
- Make sure the front door lock is locked when you exit.
- Have a nice safe, trip home!
